Needle Felt Sculptures & Pictoral Renderings

Louie Girl's founder, Laura Burke, has been spinning fibers for over 20 years.
With a closet full of sheep fleece and yarns overflowing in baskets,
Laura, needed an alternative way to use her fibers.
The discovery of needle felting was the perfect venue to help transform the
bags of wool fibers into whimsical 3D sculptures, folk art doll caricatures
and scenic renderings for all to enjoy.

Have you ever wanted to learn more about needle felting?

Louie Girl's needle-felted sculptures and art renderings are one-of-a-kind (OOAK) creations.
They are made with a "dry-felting" technique in which "punch needles"
(thin needles with rough notched edges) are used to force wool
and other natural fibers together to entangle and compress into various forms.
Just as watercolor artists and potters use paint and clay, needle felt artists use
natural and dyed fibers to create 2D art renderings and 3D sculptures.

Louie Girl's fiber sculptures and renderings are primarily made of sheep
wool - some are enhanced with alpaca, mohair and at times, dog fur.

Louie Girl's needle felt sculptures average in size from 2" to 12" in height and
would make a great addition to any home.

Custom rendering prices start at:

2D 5"x7" - $75.00
2D 11"x15" - $150.00
3D Sculptures - $125.00
3D "Mini-Woolie" doll caricature - $150.00
