Felting
Wet and Needle Felt Sculptures and Artistic Reliefs

"Mini-Me" Doll
Self Portrait
Laura has been spinning fibers for over 20 years.
With a closet full of sheep fleece and yarns overflowing in baskets,
Laura, needed an alternative way to use her fibers.
The discovery of felting was the perfect venue to help transform the
bags of wool fibers into whimsical 3D sculptures, folk art doll caricatures
and scenic renderings for all to enjoy.
Louie Girl's felted creations are all one of a kind originals.
They are made of 100% natural fibers that are
either wet
and/or dry felted (needle-felted).
Works in this medium include doll-like caricatures of people and pets,
holiday ornaments, and other decoratiive elements.
The wool renderings (textured fiber reliefs) depict scenic landscapes, homes and
properties, and interprations of oil and watercolor paintings.
